Timo Sarpaneva is a finnish designer who contributed to make world famous the finnish design.
Timo Sarpaneva graduated in 1948 at the Industrial Arts Institute, that then changed its name in University of Arts and Design of Helsinki. Although his training was as a graphic designer, he worked mainly as an industrial designer.
His works are exhibited all over the world and are part of the collections of many important museums such as: the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) and the Metropolitan Museum in New York, and the Corning Museum of Glass.
He began his collaboration with Venini in 1988.
